Sapphire blue is beautiful my 981 Cayman is sapphire blue and I love it, they keep trying to persuade me to upgrade to a 718 or 911 (although I’m not sure it’s an upgrade) NA mid engined cars are sadly a dying breed.

Sapphire blue and mamba green were my two favourite colours and went for the green for something different.

I tried a 718 boxster s and it was incredible, but sounds like a subaru. Nothing like our old 981 s which was sonorous. I've heard a rumour that the next cayman/boxster is going to be a six....

GT4 should have a lovely six-cylinder, naturally aspirated engine! :)

GT4 to be launched this summer at Goodwood. 3.8 flat six engine (similar to that from 991.1 GT3) to deliver 420bhp and initially to be equipped only with a manual transmission. 8-)

Has anybody experienced large delays in deliveries due to the bad weather conditions some 2 weeks ago. Opc contacted last monday their are trying to deiver our macan on the 29th and the balance of deposits needs to be cleared. Once done, we keep getting excuses only for today to be told it is still in Sheernes port for the last 1 1/2 weeks. Is this some sorry excuse to get people to pay in advance or has somebody else genuinely experienced this issue?

Ours was delayed a couple of days from Emden but that was the really bad winds at the start-ish of March. Delayed unloading for bad weather? Strange. As Wingco will atest, OPCs know nowt about why, and most of the time little about when.
Don't pay til you get it. Can't see why they need any more than your original deposit before you take delivery.

I think the Porsche contract states increasing your deposit to 10% at some point before delivery but very few OPCs enforce it. I suspect they might if you have a strange spec that might be more difficult to move on but it is unusual for sure

Welcome to our friendly forum! :)

I live in the ‘softy south’ but was not aware of any particularly horrendous weather ‘up north’ in the last week and a half!? :?

I’d demand answers, if I were you, as what you’ve been told doesn’t sound convincing to me.

Edit: Ignore reference to up north! I need to revise my geography! :P (Getting Sheerness and Grimsby confused!)

The conversation was that they are trying to get car ready for collection that Friday the 29th. And both deposit and fincance agreement should be shown as clear by then. After sorting these out the fiasco started. Today they said at due to weather conditions many Boats were delayed and now created some sort of bottleneck in Sheerness making it difficult to arrange all of them to be delivered. The speck of the car would not be a strange one I believe
