It goes without saying that it is all very 'personal' and personally I believe some contrast gives a better balance. The Volcano a very dark shade of grey, could easily be mistaken for black, and your spec is then black, with black and then more black. IMO the Volcano is complimented with the Agate or Pebble interior, But that's my opinion and I am a bit anti-black, so much so that I have spec'd the Volcano and I have left the aluminium trim and roof rails because IMO it gives a better balance.

Interesting comment fairynuff re black, don’t consider that you could mistake Volcano for Black unless wearing shades at night 😎😉

We saw volcano next to Black and they are very different, in good light anyway.

I get what you mean though, it is personal preference, as I only really like black leather. I might consider grey or cream, with the right colour car if buying second hand and it ticked all the other boxes, but wouldn't likely spec it on a new car. I'd also never buy a car with red leather or two tone leather, even if it was perfect in every other way... but other people love them!

Am looking at some of the other wheels, with some silver accents on

It’s all a matter of personal taste, I have Volcano with black accents and there is another in our village with the silver and to me it looks so outdated and doesn’t complement when against the Volcano. Thankfully we are all different 😊

@MikeM - it is the "stealth" look of dark grey with black accents that we want (if you can't tell). By dropping the SD kit, I can get the sports seats, painted blades and surround camera and stay under £60k. Have also dropped the extra rear air bags, as it comes with the curtain airbag as standard and I am not sure how well a side airbag like this would work firing up into the gap between the door and the edge of an isofixed car seat.

Current Spec ...
  • Volcano Grey Metallic
  • Black leather package with partial leather seats £ 1,094.00
  • Panoramic roof system £ 1,137.00
  • Privacy glass £ 333.00
  • Sideblades painted in exterior colour £404.00
  • Side window trims in black (high-gloss) £ 143.00
  • Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) £ 816.00
  • 75 litre fuel tank £84.00
  • 20-inch Macan Turbo wheels with Jet Black Metallic paint finish £2,690 (possibly metallic black, need to see both up close)
  • 18-Inch collapsible spare wheel £161.00
  • Tinted LED taillights including light strip £ 425.00
  • ParkAssist (front and rear) including reversing camera and Surround View £ 884.00
  • Adaptive sports seats (18-way, electric) with memory package £ 1,263.00
  • Seat heating (front) £ 294.00
  • Smoking package £ 38.00
£59,148.00

Same wheels that I have on my LD Macan S
I think the amount of choice for 20" is very restricted on this new model

There is no way a Volcano Grey will look anywhere near as good as ..........

Sapphire comes in a close second, and Platinum Silver third but Platimun is probably the best for masking dirt.

I have Volcano Grey and, in my view, it takes a precipitous dump over black. Black is lazy. Frankly, as I mentioned in another post, black doesn't suit the car with the lightbar across the back. Giggity.

No .... as it won't make it a Turbo.

I think you mean Dolomite Silver, Col. ;)

Platinum Silver has never been available on a Macan (unless ordered as PTS) but it did look very nice on my 991.1 C2. 8-)

The original Macan was available in Rhodium Silver, which had a tinge of blue to it.

Dolomite Silver is the current silver being offered on the facelifted Macan models. :geek:
