However I was only contacted as I had called up the Silverstone centre myself on the advice of Col. They said normally it is automatically generated after deposit placed etc (so before order lockdown), but in this case they said were not able to as they did not have any Macan S cars (facelift) to be used. The first day was 8th April that they took delivery.
How did the session at the PEC go?

Yeah was good I really enjoyed it actually. Particularly as I hadn’t really actually seen or driven the facelift S at all before that. Definitely had a glimpse of what the car can do which I found quite impressive. Felt that I learnt some driving and recovery skills etc as well which is good and quite an eye opener in terms how much the various driver aids do.

Definitely would be beneficial to have done before locking down order spec though although don’t think would have changed anything in reality so not regretting anything I don’t think. They also have some cars in the showroom which are good to nose around.

What driver aids are you referring to JJW023?

Well just the Porsche Stability Management stuff, traction control, ABS, the 4wd management etc. They make you do stuff with and without the stuff turned on etc and it’s completely different to control. Probably obvious but I didn’t expect it to help as much as it does.

Do you have a confirmed order number and build slot? If the vehicle was promised in June, you should have a ref# to track progress.
I got my ref# after 4 months waiting - order placed in Oct, vehicle build slot allocation in Jan, lock down of specs in Feb, delivery in Apr 2019

If you have allocation, you should get a reference or “commission number”, with that he can lookup various planned and actual dates, e.g.:
V250 - vehicle fixed in production
V300 - vehicle completion (CP 8.0)
...
V900 - entry dealership

Ask your sales person for the details, if he cant give it to you, then you don’t have allocation and possibly should call another dealer.
