I asked them to quote me some finance just out of curiosity and they are telling me they are unable to do that currently as my order is a 2020 car and they don’t have figures for that yet

That should only really apply if you want a PCP quote....? (because they won’t have accurate GFV numbers)

“Ordinary” finance is just numbers...

Dealer confirmed my reference number today and said my order is locked down without asking me to run a final check that I was happy with my spec. Not happy about that at all!

So how do I check details and dates?

The only guaranteed way is to get a print-out screen shot from sales admin...

Usually when I’ve ordered a new car I have received a copy of my final configuration to check before order locked down. Also the dealer has asked me to sign off the configuration and send that signed copy back to them before confirming

Strange this hasn’t happened with my OPC as what happens if there was an admin error and they missed off options?

I was not told when mine was finally locked down. However, prior to my order, I was talking to two OPC's and the salesman at one did state that sometimes Porsche gives them no warning and brings forward a build date locking down the car without warning.

Well the positive news as they are stating end of July for delivery if not sooner

Mine was stressing about finalising the order more than a month ago already when the car is due for end of June built.. and they did say the same that the spec can go into lock without warning and sometimes earlier than they would expect

I thought I had weeks left but when I rang to add crests to the seats they told me it was locked down.. the car arrived very early .. so maybe that explains that...
