Indeed and I have the opposite view - for me the aluminium provides framing and contrast. The black on black, everything black may be a fashion thing but fashions come and go (I remember when bright yellow with a black vinyl roof was de rigueur). All that said, out of idle interest, the other night I configured an e-pace and black trim was standard and aluminium was an extra (which is the way it always was i.e. black was standard). I wonder sometimes how much our opinions are our own and how much of them are driven by the crowd.

Indeed!

Perhaps psychology comes into play here. If it’s a costed option perhaps somehow it becomes more desirable

Interesting to note that OPC is promising Jun/Jul delivery... this means that demand/supply is normalising.
While that is great for new buyers, the residuals will probably be under pressure.

Order placed last week, have opted for July slot, but could have sneaked into June, so circa 3 months. Still fiddling with confuserator. Sports mirrors, worth it? Dimming mirrors worth it? and I won't mention the heated steering wheel as my views will be slightly different from the long-established and knowledgeable folks on here.
