Hi all
Need some feedback/advice. Got to decide today what 20" wheels I want on my 718 Cayman and my original choice were the diamond cut Carrera Classics. However the OPC recommends the powder coated Carrera S simply because they are easier and cheaper to maintain (half the cost to repair apparently) plus the Classics are susceptible to corroding if not looked after properly. Given that my loved one has pinged 5 diamond cut wheels in the last 5 years and I must confess to not being the best maintainer of cars (although that will most certainly change with this car) I now have my doubts on my original choice.
Anyone had any experience with Porsche diamond cut wheel repair and corrosion issues? From a looks perspective I like both but keep creeping back to the Classics (bottom pics)

Dont worry about maintenance but the ones you like the most
I the grand scheme of things, paying £75 or £150 for possible potential wheel refurb is neither here nor there.....?
Personally I prefer the Carrera S curves......but it’s your car

Heavily diamond cut wheels nearly always corrode after a couple of years even if not kerbed. Inevitable small stone chips let the moisture in and the games up. I personally would always avoid if at all possible and the Carrera ones look much more Porsche IMHO

Another vote for the Carrera S wheels here. (Nothing to do with the fact that I have them on my Carrera T!)
I have always thought that the Carrera Classics look slightly old-fashioned.
