Just received my Porsche activation code so things seem to be progressing

I know also know my vin number so I assume this means the dealer will be in touch soon to arrange pick up

What do you reckon?

Just spoken to my OPC and here's what I've been told:
- There are a lot of Macan S's at Sheerness docks and they won't be released until a CoC is granted
- A shipment of Macan's (not S's) were released earlier this week as the CoC has been granted for them
- The earliest that Porsche are expecting a CoC for the Macan S is END OF AUGUST / EARLY SEPTEMBER!

They told me everything is being done to speed this up, but realistically I should not expect to see my car until September.

Wow! If I ran my company like Porsche I'd be out of business within 6 months...
All car manufacturers knew about WLTP a long time ago, but Porsche choose to do nothing about it until it became a mandatory requirement for deliveries!

I'm told it is all to do with the new WLTP standard (Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicles Test Procedure). See here for details https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Worldwide ... _Procedure

Car manufacturers have known about it since 2017, but it becomes a legal requirement in Europe from the 1st September 2019.

Our dealer said ours is classed as MY20 anyway - I’m not sure there are any mechanical options that have changed in that time but I see the configurator has some cosmetic ones, which I would have probably had !

I hope they sort their shite out by the time my 992 is built and sent over !
