Expensive.
Nothing missing, but it'll be getting on for turbo or gts money.

I would downgrade the surround view to rear camera.
dunno if power steering or pdls lights are worth it, as it gets led lights anyway.

A discount off list if prepared to phone aroind and travel to collect

Not dissimilar to the Mrs new S , which we have just driven down to Switzerland

All personal choice of course but here would be my comments having spent hours on the configurator before freeze date.

Is it S or non S?

Adaptive cruise - not missed it on our long trip so far - I also find I concentrate less in my AMG which does have it

Surround view probably a bit over kill

Don’t see the point of sport Chrono on the SUV. I think it only adds launch control - will you ever use it on your own car and a more aggressive (read that as unpleasant gear change!)

Almost went black side blades but then realised it could look a bit funny with the Matt black sills. Same with door handles

I also concluded that the painted rear apron looked too blue.

Haven’t got power steering plus and not sure we are missing anything

If it is an S then I’d consider the PSE because having spent the afternoon at the PEC in one without, it is very quiet.

Here is ours (if I can upload pic properly!)

Nice spec

I use surround view every time I leave my front drive, park or enter the home garage. Having had it on previous BMW become an essential for me.

I have no regrets at specifying Air suspension or Active cruise. The only one of my essentials you miss is lane change assist. I have sports chrome and like it on a facelift for the steering wheel modes switch which I use but if under a budget pressure next time round it might go.

I personally would move to partial leather on a car like a Macan but that again can be a personal taste issue and would agree many of your included extras would take higher priority with me.

I like the quiet refinement of the new particle filtered silenced new S so would never spend money on sports exhaust.

We do not know specs or price of new turbo or even if 100 % certain a GTS emerging or its timing. Personally, in speed limited UK, I find the performance of S more than adequate, I would prefer a higher specced S to a low specced Turbo. I prefer a "bird" S in the "hand" garage to a new GTS where the egg has not yet been laid never mind made the "bush".

Looks very similar to our ordered one.
We also didnt change the handles and blades, or paint the rear.

I would add the tinted lights though I think it looks better with sapphire.

You’ll love it when it comes, couldn’t be happier so far and it will make an awesome family car when I swap out my AMG for my new sports car
