Hi All,

Is any one else having issues trying to get delivery dates from their dealer? Placed an order back in early June and confirmed the build spec. on 13th August. Was told at the time that delivery would be mid to late September. End of September was told it would be 11th October, now the dealer says he can't give me a deliverydate because it's in the hands of Porsche who won't give them a delivery date. Apparently it's been built and just needs shipping. Surely this can't be that difficult to sort out. It's hugely frustrating as a first time Porsche owner, I expected better.

I agree it’s very frustrating. Mine sat at Emden docks for three weeks for no apparent reason. Lack of, or conflicting information makes it worse.

There can be many reasons for delays in the transport process. Recently some cars have been held up waiting for WLTP Certificates of Compliance. Often it can just be waiting in the queue for a ship.

Spare a thought for the early adopters when delivery times were 18 to 24 months!

It will be worth it when you get it, rest assured!

My Turbo is built, but still no COC. They are saying I'll have it by the end of November, shame I'll be in Thailand then!

Porsche GB are clearly having some delivery issues at the moment, as my 992 arrived a month late, having sold my Macan early September in anticipation. Highly frustrating both personally and for the OPC but seemingly nothing they can do. I think there's a few people bending dealer principles ears at the moment!

However the wait was worth it and despite a very wet first week, the C2S is a joy to drive. Had a new car detail and ceramic coated with Justin at www.exclusivecarcare.co.uk - Found his details here on the forum and cannot recommend him highly enough! Herewith some pics after first wash:
