Does anyone have a sense of the production dependence of European car manufacturers of components sourced from China and other countries particularly affected by the coronavirus hysteria?
I am, of course, particularly thinking of Porsche. I suspect that a salesman trying to sell me a car would play down/deny any delay implications. I would hate to pay my deposit, be given an indicative production/delivery date, and then be on the hook for endless 'unforseen' delays.

Some of us early adopters of Macans initially faced waiting lists of 12-4 months. I doubt any delay due to coronavirus will approach that.

Don't know about the lack of supply of Chinese parts, I reckon the impact on peoples equities holdings may have more ramifications on production rates?

I've got a deposit down on a new GTS and was initially expecting delivery in June although have now been told by the dealer that the delivery date is uncertain due to the supply issues being caused by coronavirus. They are expecting their allocation may be cut.

The 2020 Geneva Motor Show has been cancelled just three days before it was due to open to the media because of Covid-19.

My order was placed in third week of Jan, expected delivery end of March. Just got the email today that it'll be at OPC around 9th March. Perhaps a little early to be hit by any COVID-19 issues.
