Sorry numpty here .... how do I do this ... it keeps telling me my picture is too large has to be so many pixels etc .... how do I reduce the size and post against my signature ?

On the Mac you can save or export a copy of the original photo and specify the size in pixels to match the maximum for this forum.

Can't help you with Microslop but I expect it is similar but much more difficult!

open photo in Microsoft Photo, click on 3 dots in top right corner, click on "resize" , choose size then save using a new name for file

Any ideas for resizing a photo stored on my iPad?

If you cannot reduce the pixel count by resizing; you could try cropping it.
