Rob. I am pretty sure either some posts are missing or the numher of posts users have got has gone down. I was pretty sure I had 1700 + odd. I don't care about the numbers but wondered if any posts may be missing which is why the numbers are different?

The only thing I can think is that the old forum used points, so you got 2 points for new topics and 1 for a reply. This is why I think numbers seem different. I'll double check though.

So are our passwords not encrypted on the new site given they were sent in plaintext?

Yes all encrypted on the forum. All users had to be populated with a password which we generated in Excel. So it's all encrypted on the website. We used a mailing list software to send it all out and they've now been deleted from there. Obviously I encourage everyone to change them. The login page and forum is https too.

Yes! I think I've "lost" nearly 1,000 posts!

I agree. I'm viewing the forum in landscape on an iPad and can't see the number of new posts highlighted any longer...

Havent posted much recently but I'm back up and running.

I notice that the option to include our location has gone. Could it be added? It's useful to know when contrbuting to a post, esp for those owners in markets other than the UK and when contacting other UK members.

Try 'User Control Panel' then 'Profile'.
