BT wanted £25k + VAT to run a fibre cable the 2km from our hamlet"s nearest fibre cabinet, but with no guarantee of speeds. So we got Voneus to install a wireless system. Transmitter mast beams to 6' receiver on each property. We now enjoy 45 to 50 Mbps download speeds.

Our house is about 1km from the nearest green cabinet with the last 300m our own private lane. A couple of years ago they laid fibre down along the main road, 300m away down said lane. It took me six months of persuasion but eventually they put a fibre cable up my lane at their cost. I now get 50 Mbps for the same cost as a flakey 14Mbps and can upgrade to 300 Mbps should I feel the need. They say it cost 11k to do it. Jackanory.
