Can't Delete Duplicate Post

I tried to delete a duplicate post using both the delete tick box and the white/red cross delete button but every time I get a message saying posts can't be deleted on this forum. I'm a member of numerous forums and this is the first that seems to block removal of posts raised in error. Is there another way to delete my duplicate entry which is making the thread look messy....

Don’t worry about it this forum has lots of messy, rambling dribbling threads
No names mentioned here though
You can via edit just delete any unwanted text.

Editing the text out still requires text entry so I've been replacing text with a message explaining what's happened. This is crazy...

There is a time limit to deleting posts so I guess it depends how old it is. Report the post and just ask me to delete it and I'll remove it for you.
