Exactly! I guess your quite new here.
This is just a humorous nod to countless mpg posts we have on this forum.
Indeed my “hello” post a couple of years back was greeted with mockery about my fuel range by SD owners.
I would suggest your "humour" will often be received as "mockery".

Happy to say that on my GTS I don't know how much I've spent on fuel, what the MPG has been over the last year or so since I got it or how that compares with any other model.

To go back to the original question, I really have no idea how much I spend on fuel. The majority of the fuel goes on my credit card but as I fill up several vehicles it is difficult to keep track of.

I don't really care about mpg.

I care a bit more about mpt; miles per tank.

The petrol variants, with the possible exception of the 2 litre, could really do with a bigger tank to cut down on the amount of time at petrol stations.

I concur. Avoiding stopping to refuel/recharge is important.

Same with phones/watches/laptops etc.

In the short time I’ve been a member here I think I’ve twigged that Goron has a reasonably unique brand of sarcastic humour!

Daring to contribute...

I'm from the Mistertoad school of self-challenging and don't keep any overall watch on fuel; except to say that my fill-up, when it comes, invariably follows a weekly shop (just for two!) and so can see off the best part £250 within the space of a few minutes! 🤢

goron59 wrote: Sat Oct 21, 2017 8:59 pm Lots of talk on here about mpg and how your car is crap if it’s not a diesel.

But ultimately, it’s fuel cost.

After a year of accurately tracking, I’ve achieved £14.67 per week.

Mainly because I don’t waste miles on boring journeys / commuting, I suppose.

Mostly Shell 98, some BP 97, no 95s.
I can’t say how much I’ve spent on fuel since I got my S in March. Most of my almost 8000 miles were done in Euroland and I don’t bother keeping records. I recall that Holland was the most expensive at about €1.61 litre. Have just filled up with Sansbury Super (its 97 I think) using an 8p off voucher, so just £1.14 litre. Back to Shell V next tankfull at £1.26 ltr currently. I amuse myself at times glancng to look at the current mpg to my right, but never put it on the PCM screen if Mrs B is in the car.

Fuel cost and mpg vary enormously on the type of driving but I can't be bothered to get bent out of shape about it. So far anything from 18-27 mpg and I could get the train to work but it's never on time and always overcrowded so will live with the 18 mpg on my commute

Dont see the point of publishing relishing achieved mpg.

If any of us were actually concerned about mpg we would not be driving a Porsche we would be in something like a Nissum Kashcar or whatever the damn thing is called.
