First they cancelled my Diesel Macan and now I have received a phone call saying that it could be up to 2 x weeks to carry out the software up-grade on my new GTS that was due to be collected on Saturday 🙁.

My first Porsche and has not gone as smoothly as planned but cannot wait to get behind the wheel of my new car !!

Our incoming 718 Cayman GTS has also been impounded at the OPC for the same reason.
We got an e-mail this evening that we might be able to collect next week, but can only be re-confirmed on Monday.

Fingers crossed for everyone who's waiting for their cars! 😃

Oh, and a loaner is a hire car from Enterprise, but never mind, will keep the miles off the Turbo for a bit.
Our stable:
- 992 Carrera T - manual - Ruby Star Neo - Carrera Excl. wheels (2023)
- BMW 240i xDrive (G42) - Portimao Blue - AC Schnitzer tune
ex: 981 Cayman GTS, Macan S Diesl, Macan Turbo, 991.2 Carrera S, 718 Cayman GTS, i30 N, 718 Cayman GTS 4.0

My OPC has agreed to loan a Macan or hopefully 911 convertible🤞until the software update is complete.

I had a call from my OPC last night. They are going to remove or disable the mobile repeater, so I can pick my car up on Saturday, as planned. Not clear if it will have to gobackin under warranty for a proper fix.

I suspect this solution is going to be used more widely,or they are going to end up with a stockpile of cars and loads of unhappy customers.

We’re picking ours up this afternoon. It’s not clear what they’ve done, if anything, but I’ll try to find out more. The implication was that they didn’t need to do anything on ours. It’s build date was 30th March if that helps.
