After a weeks wait we finally get to collect our Macan today.
Restless night for both of us as we are both very excited.
Going to arrange our own GAP insurance through ALA but then just have to decide whether to take the alloy wheel insurance at £299 for 3 years and up to 18 claims 6 per year. Includes diamond cut wheels which lots of policies exclude.
As my wife will be driving the car quite a bit, maybe a worth while investment?🤔
Anyone had kerbing damage repaired? What is the average cost of this?

Diamond cut 21” app £130 via specialist if wheel and tyre handled only. OPC charge last time I used (18 months ago) was £150 but they handled removal and stored the car on site, as turnaround 3/5 days it’s a more suitable solution. That’s a lot of claim cover! For that price you just need +2 and your winning although suspect there will be a excess charge. Good luck with the collection 👍

Alloy wheel insurance is certainly a good buy if "others" :? :? are likely to damage the wheels.

Enjoy your collection :D :D :D

If you have the Surround view camera optioned, you can avoid kerb damage quite easily. There is a side view option that you can click on when parking. It's kept my alloys pristine so far. Without surround, I'd definitely go for some kind of alloy insurance because it is easy to bang the wheels without even hearing it happen inside the car.
