I need some education

Having just sold my 2017 Macan sd with nearly 20k options I am now looking at getting into a Macan gts or turbo.

What are the main differences between the gts and turbo?
(Apart from power 360-400) ride? Handling? Exterior styling? Engine/exhaust note?

Is the suspension different in both models?
Asking as I had air and wanted to know if I went for standard suspension would it be the same sort of ride as normal suspension on a sd.

How much of a difference is there In mpg between the gts and turbo?

Is a sport exhaust standard on gts?
Seen many turbos without but not gts.

Options wise does either model come with more as standard?

And what are the main differences between running costs on both?

If there’s anything else that would come in handy on my search please do let me know as every day is a school day!

Thanks uni

The GTS comes with black accents and unique black brushed aluminium trims as standard., Also alcantara/leather or option of contrast stitching special interior. It has a sportier ride /feel suspension set up as standard. Personally I wouldn't go for air on the GTS but have stuck with 20" wheels and the handling is superb. can't comment on running costs between Turbo and GTS but the Gen 1 GTS was a lot thirstier than the Gen 2 GTS.

Note Turbo's with Performance pack have GTS suspension.

You do not say whether Gen1 or Gen2 cars you are primarily interested in. Gen2 mpg's hardly differ between S, GTS and Turbo, agree with above comments on Gen 1 fuel consumption.

Sorry gents it was a gen 1s I’m looking at between 66/18 plates

So is the turbo and gts suspension totally different?
And sound wise do the sound the same?

FWIW I don't like the sports exhaust on my GTS. I've had louder and better sounding cars (Caterham, Audi RS4) but the sports exhaust disappoints and I turn it off just about all the time

I think I may need to go test drive a few before making a decision on what direction I will go.
But with the covid situation it’s getting harder to get opc to allow such test drives.

Yes, they are different as standard. The GTS has a stiffer/sportier suspension setup. The sports exhaust came standard on GTS but I think was an option on the turbo. Personally I really like the GTS (SE) sound, its got a nice burble without being offensive.
I definitely recommend getting a drive in each if you can.

Gen 1 Turbo engine is a 3.6 litre 400hp Porsche lump, greater torque and nice deep tone and thump on acceleration. Additional items as standard over GTS.18 way seats, BOSE, Alcantara roof lining, leather package, painted side-blades. Other differences from memory, square exhaust pipes, 19” turbo wheels, brushed aluminium interior trim, front grill and air intake design. There may be more 🤔 memory not what it used to be 🙄
