Agate Grey Metallic - dropped from the colour range?

Hi knowledgable Macan friends

Was Agate Grey only available on early model Macan’s? Ie 2014/15 cars
On my hunt for a Macan I’ve noticed there doesn’t seem to be many Macan’s, 2016 onwards with this shade of grey?

This is probably correct. It wasn't available when we bought our 2016 GTS or our 2020 GTS as I probably would have considered it

If I remember correctly, Agate was dropped from the list of available colours around 2016 but came back on the options list a year or two later

Hi V8max, I am pretty sure it was an option when we bought our SD in 2018. Maybe just not an option with GTS’s. I can’t believe they would have dropped it as still ‘timeless’.

I got the impression that Agate might have been dropped for Volcano but then may have come back on the colour palette

Yes, Volcano introduced with first deliveries March 2016 and Agate phased out (2018) no longer available as a standard choice.

When I first ordered my first ever Porsche in February 2018 - it was to be a facelifted Macan S Diesel in Agate Grey. Six months or so later, I was told that the diesel was being dropped and later still, that I couldn't have Agate Grey; so in May 2019 my petrol Macan S in Dolomite Silver arrived, and I couldn't be more pleased.

Mine is Agate grey - 2018 gen 1. I guess it must be quite a rare colour then?

RAA, I would have chosen Agate grey, but not so keen on Volcano, so opted for Dolomite silver - it doesn't arrive until Oct/Nov, so I would love to see some photos of yours !!
