I had this for a year in my 2017 Panamera 4, but I prefer the traditional & tactile buttons in my Macan and 911s.
The new screen looks cool and in theory, like phones should be an upgrade, however its not user freindly and having to use your left hand makes it all the more impracticle. Gen II with buttons I think will be more sought after than those on the "upgraded" face lift model.

Yep. Wood trim is an option on the 992. Here’s a pic of a green 992 ordered with the wood trim in the US.

I see no oneone picked up the headlights changes comment yet. If Matrix lights option it for me would be a difficult choice between gaining that for loss of "proper buttons"

bennachie wrote: Fri Sep 18, 2020 8:48 am When will they realise that screens, whether tactile or not, are intrinsically less safe than butons? A screen requires a long look to locate the screen, area of the screen and then complete the adjustment. There is a reason aircraft glass cockpits are for information and physical switches process functions. Added to that FL30 is arguably safer than the centre of Preston or the M40..................

Long live the 'button'.
Spot on. Just because it can be done does not mean it should be. Physical switches are immediately accessible with minimal distraction to the driver. Older is often better as was demonstrated by NASA spending $$$$$ on designing a zero gravity pen, the Russians opted for a pencil.

This apparently isn't another facelift. The new touch panels are from the next gen Macan. The body is the same as the new mules are being disguised with the old bodywork....

By the time it arrives, it will be fitted with the new speed limiter that prevents you exceeding the speed limit (except for emergencies) courtesy of our European friends.
