Parking my Macan in the garage I noticed one small drop of oil on the floor, front right side of engine.
This seems to happen everytime i park up and it always just seems to be one drop.

Car went back into the specialist garage I purchased from and who had done a service and changed front brake pads and all pad sensors.

Response from the garage has so far been excellent, they took off the under undertray and cleaned everything up. They are aware of the timing chain housing seal potential issue but said it was totally dry and being a 2018 car this issue is rare.

Their thoughts are that it was probably just a bit of residue from the service.

Yesterday though another spot of oil on the garage floor.

Do I continue to get the specialist garage to fix this, they will I think, take the car into Porsche Bournemouth who they know well, or should I go straight to Porsche as it's under warranty.

My concern about going straight to Porsche is if this would then cancel my consumer rights with the original garage?

Advice from all would be appreciated and anyone else has a similar drip at the front?

This is the area the oil seems to be coming from and the amount one drop per run.

If I remember correctly Porsche had a problem with over tightening the timing chain gasket, causing an oil leak. My car failed the 111 point check on this, though there were no visible signs of oil on my driveway/garage. So your leak looks worse than mine

I too thought it was spilt oil when it was serviced/topped up

Porsche fixed it under warranty (I was getting the 111 point check done just before the 3 year warranty ran out and did take out a further two years). Took them 3 weeks and they had the engine, gearbox and all the front suspension off to do it.

I'd strongly recommend you get Porsche to look at your car as it ought to be under the 3 year warranty

I had a loner Cayenne Coupe Hybrid whilst my car was done

Good luck.....

The garage had the undertray off again today, but after a 25 mile drive from home.
Definitely traces of oil on both sides of the sump but the source is higher up at the front of the engine.

I am assuming this is the timing chain casing gasket problem. I thought this was limited to 15-16MY cars but mine is a 2018 so obviously Porsche still have production line problems.

Popped into my Porsche OPC to get it booked in to have the work carried out under warranty, if I want a courtesy car its end of November😯 but late October without. Original selling garage will give me a courtesy car for the period, which Porsche say is 40 hours of work plus any parts delay.

I note Madelvic's repair took 3 weeks, anyone else had this work done and can advise on timeframes?

We were due to depart to warmer climes end October so a 3 weeks job is really going to annoy HWMBO as she keeps reminding me she never really wanted to sell her car in the first place...even though she admits to loving the Macan. Feel I am going to be made to suffer for a while😂

My car is a 2017 for what it is worth. Edinburgh OPC quoted two weeks worst case and it did take a few days to get parts, but two weeks came and went and little contact from the garage. My car is the middle on in the photo. All the bits on the floor are parts off the car.........

I'm also due in to OPC Edinburgh in 2 weeks time for the same issue. How long did it take in the end or is it still with them?

Did you have any subsequent issues after having the whole front of the car out?

Yes covered in another thread. Trivial but the secondary air pump was throwing up errors. It warms the cats quickly. Car was driveable. Two more trips to Edinburgh OPC to fix it. Suspect a pipe wasn’t properly attached
