Cheers WingCo. Unfortunately I could not quite stretch to a 911 but must say I am very impressed by the car.

@mark-yorkshire, from your signature you’ve owned a lot of Macan SD’s. As the owner of a MY14 SD myself, can I ask why you changed it 3 times for newer models? Am just curious in case I’m missing something cheers!

I ordered my first Macan before the model name was even known. I put my name down at the dealership and placed a reservation under “ new smaller Cayenne” ! I picked it up in May 2014. At the time I picked it up I put in an order for my next one as I correctly guessed that Macans would hold their money due to the one year waiting list. I didn’t foresee that petrol models would be even more desirable. So a year later in May 2015 I picked up my second SD after having sold my first one for only £200 ( yes £200 ) less than I had paid for my first one. Then in March 2018 I saw a pre reg zero miles SD for sale with Porsche Cambridge which I snapped up and part exchanged my 2015 SD with them. The Macan is a great car but unfortunately I don’t really need a big diesel.ultrabelse wrote: ↑Sun Oct 18, 2020 10:41 pm @mark-yorkshire, from your signature you’ve owned a lot of Macan SD’s. Just checked out your new Boxster T photos, looks great. That’s certainly the way to start retirement, nice onemark-yorkshire wrote: ↑Tue Sep 29, 2020 7:38 pm Well after 6 years and 3 Macans I am now considering leaving the Macan fold. As I have now retired I don’t really need the Macan. For day to day I can manage with my wife’s car and for the weekend I have a Boxster. Will therefore post in the Sale/Wanted section of the forum and if no interest will put an ad on Autotrader.

That’s a great story! I wonder (and hope!) if the same thing will happen with electric Macan’s?! £200 for a year of brand new ownership, what a great deal!
Great looking Boxster (sorry, 718!) Mark
