Morning.

I am currently doing all the paperwork for a 68 plate 2L Macan in crayon. Moving from an F Pace so main reasons were I wanted something that handles well, doesn't feel too bouncy over the road, and a nice premium feel.

One pain point for me is the rear light with the red strip across. It is reminiscent of the kia shortage a little bit too much so I feel the clear tinted version would look cleaner and the strip in operation would be a pleasant surprise.

I asked the dealer and he quoted £1090 supplied and fitted whereas tequipment site quotes £640 inc VAT which is more reasonable.

Has anyone done this to theirs retrospectively and is it at all possible to get the parts and do it myself without invalidating the warranty?

Thanks

Dan

And if you do get the clear lights fitted keep the old lights and swap them back when you sell and then sell the clear lights.

He said there's nothing he can do to waive the fitting fee and that was after haggling. Managed to get £4K off the vehicle price, and delivery, even though I think it was probably overpriced to begin with so I'm all haggled out.
I will just have to book it in at a local OPC when I free up some cash.

Good point on keeping the old lights to put back on. Would certainly help cover some of the cost.

Yes, definitely ask for the old lights back. I had a sports exhaust retrofitted after speccing the stainless tailpipes. I got the old ones back from the OPC and stuck them on Ebay. There's a healthy market for Macan spares and retrofits on there.
