Non-S models?

Hi! Anybody knows when (if) Porsche will release non-S versions of Macan? Will it be only Macan or Macan Diesel as well? Any chance of manual transmission?

A sales person confirmed what I had already read and that was a 2 litre TFSI and a 2 litre TDI will be launched but the timing was unclear. I have also read about the possibility of using the turbocharged flat four boxer engine which is due to go in the next generation Boxster.

Reading the motoring press some say late 2014 and some not till 2015 for the non 'S' models.

Autobild - the German version of AutoExpress I think said of the non-S models "To follow later will be a 233hp entry-level model with 2-litre four-cylinder engine and in 2015 a 2-litre diesel with 204hp."

Uprated VAG engines, as with the diesel S. It's a shame they can't justify building their own. If you are a Porsche enthusiast like me, It would make owning one feel so much more satisfying.
