Seat memory linked to each key

Am I right in thinking the seats/mirrors return to they key saved positions when you unlock the car using top button, but NOT if you open the car using the boot release button?

Thought I was going crazy when seat kept returning the missus's settings not mine, after I put the dog in the back

You've answered my intermittent occurrence of this, all makes sense now.

Thanks - I asked OPC to look at it when it was in for MOT and got fobbed off with "you didn't set options to remember key settings" when I know this was switched on. Then figured it out by playing around with the two keys
