Advice required. I have a Macan Turbo which, as far as I know, comes automatically with the 75 Litre fuel tank option. Yesterday I ran the indicated range down to almost zero (the display went to "---" when I had less than 10 miles range left) but when I brimmed the tank I only managed to fit 64.85 Litres in. Any idea what's going on? Is it possible that the car has the 65 Litre tank? Do I have the 75 Litre tank and really have 10 Litres of reserve after the range indicator hits zero? Is the range indicator calibrated for a 65 Litre tank?
Any and all advice appreciated.
Fuel capacity question
That might explain why I only do 250 miles before needing to fill up. I'm averaging 21.9mpg, which is around 4.86 miles per litre, so a 65 litre tank gives a range of 316 miles. With a 60 mile range showing I fill up.

The reserve would show as miles left in the tank. It sounds weird and was flagged a while back in a different thread as well. Would be good to find out how big these tanks really are. Of you did indeed 'brim it' that tends to add 5+ litres.

Thanks to bombey, forge197 and tallet: at least we are all experiencing the same issue. I have made enquiries with the dealer and will let you know what I can find out.
I have the same. I can get 67l in it. I assume it needs recallibrated. My OH's 911 had the opposite problem and has ran out of fuel twice with a 50 mile range!
That would annoy me more to run out with range at least this way round we have more left.

The dealer response was as follows:
You are absolutely correct the Macan Turbo comes with a 75 litre tank as standard so that is what is fitted.
The range display will take into account how the vehicle is being driven it to show an estimated range left. Regarding the fuel tank it is a saddle tank which means the fuel gauge sensor reads the one side of the tank and estimates the other side. As I'm sure you would imagine it airs on the side of caution hence when it shows dashes you can't put the full 75 litres back in it.
So, It looks like Macan Turbo drivers have 10 litres of fuel left when the range displays "---", which equates to 25 to 45 miles of range, which is consistent with Simon's experience. Not sure I'm going to test this theory but would welcome feedback from anyone who does!
