Fault diagnosis

My 2017 DS is going in for a major service and PDK oil transfer Monday. I’ve also asked that they take a look at the transition / transfer case as I occasionally get a delay then a clonk s drive is taken up when pulling away from a standstill. I have also experienced a rumbling through the transmission at higher cruising speeds.

The car is covered by Porsche extended warranty so am assuming that if this is a transfer case issue it will be covered. The faults are intermittent and difficult to reproduce. Have Porsche been known to charge for diagnostic time if there is no fault found?
