Extended warranty transfer

Hello everyone! At the end of the week I will be getting my new to me, Macan S ‘15. The previous owner has an Porsche extended warranty until the end of Feb 2021, what are the steps that I need to follow in order to transfer it to my name?

Assume you are buying privately?

Just call local OPC and they can arrange

Indeed, I am buying privately. So the previous owner doesn’t need to do anything? I just ring OPC after I get the V5C in my name or I can do it straight after the sale?

previous owner doesn't need to do anything. I am not even sure I got the V5 back before I spoke to OPC (maybe they can look it up online), it was very easy

The Warranty is linked to the car not the owner.
