Hi all. I quickly discovered an option that is sadly missing from the long list. At this time of year the first button I press every time I start my engine is the heated screen button. I am really going to miss that! Anyone else with me on this?

I have this on my current car (Skoda) and I can't believe more manufacturers don't offer it!

Without sounding like a brand snob Paul, that is one hell of a jump from Skoda to Macan...

Yup, even the transit vans in my business have heated screens. Don't understand it, especially as other models in Porsche have it!

No offence taken (!)
I used to own and run a few dealerships including Skoda, Renault, MG. The Yeti was my last Demo which I kept hold of. To reassure you, I have run a Cayman S in the past and my other half has a 3 series convertible for the summer!Paul2014-11-27 20:19:50

Didn't mean to offend Paul, I'm trading up from a Ford Ranger. It's time for me to start enjoying my driving again...

The insurance companies dislike heated front screens and when assessing group ratings for new models this is taken into account.
Have you ever seen Ford announcing low insurance groups with HFS..??

My trade in had a heated screen, not just convenient but essential if you are short in stature, I can't reach the middle of the screen with my scraper! I asked the dealer to check if it was standard as not on the option list. Very disappointed to find out it is not, nor will it be offered. Have yet to try out the effectiveness of the super defrost button though, it might be just as quick. Any one know?

I also miss a chime to say the temperature has dropped below zero. Even a colour change of the temperature display would be something. Made me a bit more careful on the bends when I had bing bong to alert me to a red digit on the dashboard for -C.
