Recently collected my new Macan S and was surprised to find the USB ports were type C rather than type A.
Bought a charging cable via Amazon for my apple iPhone and it doesn’t seem to like it. Have tried another 2 phones plus an iPad and all work intermittently.
Maybe it’s my cable but just wondered if anybody else having same problem?
Many thanks

No problem charging my iPhone through the USB-C ports in my 2020 Macan S. As you’re experiencing intermittent charging problems, I would suggest trying a genuine Apple cable, as I have found, from past experience, that some third party cables are not very reliable.

Agree re genuine Apple cable.

Also, I was getting intermittent connection to CarPlay and saw on a google search that holding the on/off button to reset will help - touch wood, never disconnected since!

To piggyback on this post...

I recently upgraded to an iPhone 12. I used to have very occasional issues with intermittent charging but with the upgrade the problem has multiplied. It sometimes it just doesn’t charge at all and I now hear an irregular ‘bong’. Unfortunately I cannot remember where the cable came from or even how long I’ve had it!

Reading the previous responses I’m guessing that a change of cable would be the first step.
