Andy, this is the data sheet, ask your OPC for a copy of yours if you don't have it.AndyC160 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 14, 2021 4:20 pmI got the car just under a year old from OPC. Not sure if I got a VIN data sheet...what does it look like?!JurassicMacan wrote: ↑Wed Jan 13, 2021 10:49 pmIf you check your VIN data sheet it will show you. It should be 7 years.

Thanks...I'll ask them for a copy.
Just looking at the sheet...it has the extended 7 year warranty for the transfer box under 'new vehicle warranty' and nothing under 'pre owned'. As mine is pre owned, does that mean the transfer box warranty isn't extended to 7 years? I might be missing something but it doesn't appear very clear to me

You bought from an OPC so no reason why it wouldn't be covered.

Our 66 plate 2.0 Macan has just started to display the dreaded transfer box symptoms, shuddering in 1st gear and reverse at very low speeds. The car is 18 months out of the 3 year warranty but could someone confirm that the 7 year tfr box warranty applies to UK cars.
car is booked in for diagnosis on 1st June as the local OPC are fully booked up. It’s a real pain as our second car is a 2 seater and the 4 of us are going to Scotland next weekend for a weeks hols. Hire car it is then
the car is now 4.5 years old with 37k miles and we have owned it since new.
Will keep you posted

I've already had a new transfer box at around 2 years and 15k miles. Mine is now coming up on 4 years and 24k miles and the issue seems to be raising its head again? My car dropped out of warranty at 3 years, so it will be interesting to see a) has the box gone again and b) is the latest box under 7 years warranty since fitting?

Yep, mine's just been confirmed, going in on 30th for replacement under warranty, although I do have extended warranty anyway.
Ashamed to say it's only just coming up to 16k miles. Must get out more!

You would have thought given the Americans love of 'class actions' that Porsche/Audi would have modified the transfer boxes in the Macan and Cayenne. I do know that they have a 7 year warranty as long as it's serviced at an OPC naturally. Mine went on an SD I had at around 17000 miles which is what my 'S' has covered Worrying times.
Dolomite Silver 'S' with red leather 14 way seats, Pano roof, Bose, Air suspension with pasm, Chrono pack, PDLS, Surround view, 911 turbo wheels, heated screen, spare wheel, ioniser,75 lt tank, black tail pipes, black roof rails.
I too have had the dreaded transfer box call on my petrol S at 40k miles and 5 years old. Now 2 years out of warranty but Portsmouth have been hugely supportive and agreed to cover the entire cost. This follows last year's gasket replacement potential nightmare which came to almost £6.5K but was also fully covered. I have a lot to thank Portsmouth for and of course continue to enjoy the vehicle immensely. Now hoping for a less exciting service history in the years to come!
Petrol S delivered Apr 16
