If someone doesn’t care about resale then fair enough but they are in a minority. Most will spend the £1000 knowing they will get a lot of that back if not even more at resale if their car is of attraction to a higher number of buyers. When I was selling almost all trade buyers demanded pano roof and many wanted 21” wheels.

Mine doesn't have a pano roof (bought used from an OPC). Isn't a GTS supposed to be 'sporty' ? Sporty cars don't have sun roofs , think GT3's etc.
With all the rain that we've had down south so far this winter I'm glad I don't have it..........just incase it leaked :)

That’s like saying ‘with all the sun we had last summer, I’m glad I don’t have a fixed roof’. Obviously in the winter it’s pretty much useless, mine is open all the time when it’s nice weather though.

My son is a sunroof specialist and the main problem is lubrication, not leaks.

This is such a personal thing that there is no right or wrong answer.

Agree with Kleynie, there's no right or wrong answer. As with many topics on the forum, people argue passionately to support the choice they made.

I'm with the sunroof camp, mainly for the additional light it brings into the cabin. This is especially true with a black interior.

Ha ha I’m not sure any Macan is meant to be as sporty as a gt3! GT3s don’t have them because of the loss of torsional stiffness.

GTS and turbo 911s will often have a sunroof.

Even in winter it's nice to have a pan roof as it let's light in and brightens the cabin.
I wouldn't be without one.
And I understand that when it comes to selling the car on, some dealers aren't keen on cars without one, including Prestige Performance in Selby who sponsor this forum! :)

Had a sunroof in the last car, don't in the Macan. Do I miss it? No, never given it a second thought.

Just to pick up on the point about resale value.
Here’s a lightly optioned Approved Used 2020 Macan S that doesn’t have a pan roof and also has (I think) standard 18”wheels.

Looks very nice in blue. The asking price £53990 is pretty close to what I paid for mine brand new.
Doesn’t look to me like it’s been marked down due to lack of pan roof.

Echo the no right or wrong answer.

It’s yes from me. The light is a major bonus for me even more so than being able to open the roof.

For all there’s been plenty of people on here saying they have had problems I’d be interested to know the actual percentage of pan roofs that have had issues (I’m aware this will never be known).

This low mileage one (2021 Model) from Nov 2020 does have a pan roof plus the standard 18 inch wheels and air suspension for £55k.

Not spotting any premium for the pan roof.
