Had my renewal quote from Saga who I have been with for many years. I had previously compared online with quotes between £220 to £240 for Aviva and LV.
I used a different registration number for an identical car to get a Saga quote, which came out at £217.
Saga renewal quote was £340.
Just outrageous
Called them up and they matched the £217 and fixed for 3 years, but WHY do insurance companies do this?
Insurance renewal time😡

Unfortunately it's because they can...I imagine a few people just let their insurance auto renew or they cant be bothered to get a few quotes. I've always got them to match or better either other quotes or a quote I've got myself from the same company. It's just a crap game you have to waste time playing

Is the sum of £217 from Saga for insuring your Macan ? Or for one of your other cars?

Careful what you wish for, it's not all wine and roses.
In my experience there's a "bathtub" curve with insurance. Very high when you're young, a low point in middle age and a rise after the age of 70. At 75 with a GTS, I feel I've reached the bathtub overflow point.

Thanks for that information, I shall definitely try Saga on renewal, but currently still need commuting & business use, so that maybe where the big difference lies.JurassicMacan wrote: ↑Mon Jan 25, 2021 9:24 am The Macan, my F-Type was £240 at last renewal June 2020 also with Saga.

Jurassic does not state what annual mileage he has told his insurer for the various vehicles which will have an impact on premiums.Toddie wrote: ↑Mon Jan 25, 2021 12:06 amJurassicMacan wrote: ↑Sun Jan 24, 2021 8:15 pm Had my renewal quote from Saga who I have been with for many years.
