Hi I’m a new guy to this chat, although I’ve owned a few Porsches in the past, my last one was a lovely 2017 Cayman , which I have now sold to a specialist car dealer, as Porsche offered me £2000 less than him .
Anyway Question: Am I likely to get a DISCOUNT OF A NEW Porsche Macan ?
Or should I buy a Demo one , or 2020 registered one ?
Thanks in advance .
Macan Discount %
As regards whether to buy new or used may depend on how you finance and when you want a car. The interest rate on used cars is much higher, not an issue if you are a cash buyer. May also depend if you can wait for a factory build or want one now.
Discounts, some will say yes and some will say no. I would imagine on a new showroom car looking for an owner and a dealer not currently getting much revenue you may get a deal but will take a few phone calls to find it.

Some recent information in this thread and plenty of others if you have a search.

Got a grand off a factory order Macan GTS as a finance contribution. I traded off a slightly lower discount than I could have got from Coast2Coast against a very early (by comparison) build slot. I would note that the day I negotiated the discount it was in the terms of "here's my 99% complete spec, I'll pay the £3k deposit today and finalise my spec by the end of the week if you can knock off £1k". I suspect I could have pushed for a few hundred quid more but couldn't be arsed.
Guess I was lucky, I bought a gen2 Turbo very well specced ex demo. Only 10 days old from first registration and £7K off new price. Of course that included the first registration fee that I didn't have to pay but not a bad result for a Porsche. As a bonus I also got basic G-Tech protection thrown in as well. The same OPC is now offering a used GTS at well over list ??
While discounts can be had, getting one is more likely to be a case of being in the right place at the right time rather than the blanket availability you might expect from the likes of BMW etc.
Right now there seems to be a shortage of cars so while you're less likely to get anything off it shouldn't stop you asking. Probably worth an hour of your time calling a few dealers to see what they can and hopefully you'll get lucky.

I've just been offered £1k off a new build Turbo from Wolverhampton OPC. Going to try a few others this week and see what's on.

Just to add, it's believed the face-lift Gen2 will be out around September, so I thought there may have been better discounts to be had to use up "old" stock.
Probably just wishful thinking.

£1,750 off Macan. Had to go to Colchester who were awesome throughout, as local (South London - same group) said zero! Then called a couple of months later and offered £910!
