Morning all.
Made a conscious decision to stay "analogue" and stick to my diesel Macan S for many years until electric charging infrastructure is ready.
Got me thinking what are the ongoing costs of maintenance (not total running costs so excludes VED and insurance costs). Car registered March 2017 so lower VED annual cost (currently £205.00 per annum). Still on original Michelin All Season TOUR HP Latitude,

I have the following done -
2 Adblue refills form Porsche centres (Dec 2017, Sept 2017)
20k service and brake fluid change - PORSCHE CENTRE JAN 2019
Replacement of transfer box (under warranty) Porsche Centre ( SEPT 2019)
Repair to rear centre buckle (outside of warranty) - Porsche Specialist NOV 2020
40k service, PDK oil change and brake fluid change - Porsche specialist FEB 2021
Replacement of all brake disc and pads - Porsche specialist FEB 2021

Over five years and 43k miles I averaged £1.23 per mile of which £0.14 was fuel costs. That £1.09 per mile for non fuel costs includes depreciation, insurance and VED. Actual servicing and repair costs worked out at £0.12 per mile.

Similar fuel costs Peter. With paper depreciation, insurance and VED I reckon I am currently on £0.76 per mile. (PS for the record I am not an accountant!)

Not sure about my running costs but can't see me buying a new car for a while. Ideally I would like something a bit smaller but can't find anything suitable just now.

The OPC service costs do annoy me a bit but it is probably cheaper than buying a new car :D :D

My depreciation cost was the actual difference between the price I paid new and the amount I got for the car when I sold it. It worked out at 59% which, over five years, did not strike me as too bad at all.

I used a specialist in Hertfordshire (PorschaCare) - the cost for 40k service (including brake fluid change and PDK engine oil change) was circa £800 all in.

If you've decided to keep it for a long time, what made you decide against extending the warranty?
