I have green mold growing on the window seals. Can anyone suggest a safe product to use on the felt type window seal that is at the bottom of the window where it drops into the door?

Car lives outside with a lot of trees behind our house, also where drive is it is the shade for a lot of the day.

When I experienced this on my previous Audi Q5, I just used an old soft toothbrush to gently clean these window seals when washing the car, which got rid of the green mould.

+1 for the toothbrush, with a little regular car shampoo.

Unfortunately it sounds like the conditions where its parked are ideal for moss/ mold to grow. It will probably just come back in a short period after clearing it off.

Try one of those car detailing forums. They might know of a product other than domestic bathroom mold cleaners 🤔

Yep - happens to me too as car parked near trees.
I found a good quality soft bristled decorators brush with some diluted windscreen washer fluid works well. Check the rear quarter window ‘C’ trims - the soft bristled brush will safely remove the gunk from around those!

I’d be very wary of bathroom mould cleaners. Some of them can be very aggressive.

I too am very wary of aggressive bathroom cleaners, which is why i asked on here if anyone had any success with non harmful products. Googling the issue seems to come up with needing a fungicidal wash to kill the spores. I seem to remember someone recommending Milton sterilization fluid for babies bottles.

Thanks to all who have answered, any other suggestions welcome.

I have used a dish cleaning brush with normal car shampoo when washing the car. Comes off easily normally.

I have used Bilt Hamber Surfex HD diluted (a lot) and with a small soft brush to remove similar on my previous (4 series) car.

That stuff tends to work on most stubborn cleaning problems, its pretty handy to have in my garage.
