Having had it on the previous Evoque, went for it on Macan (was a must, plus heated steering). Weird how it works on rear screen button, but is very effective!
Current:
997.2 C2S, Meteor Grey, PDK (with paddles), PSE, Sports Chrono, etc.... (2009)
Macan, Volcano Grey, 21” RS Spyder Design Alloys (2020): http://www.porsche-code.com/PLVB2FZ0

The winter has surely arrived and the heated windscreens will be in full force. Unfortunately the Gen2 S I purchased in June doesn't have it (I still love it). Coming from a Discovery Sport where it would automatically come on when starting in cold weather, I have to say I missed it last night when making a late night shopping spree in the winter chill. Wasn't for ice but rather for quicker demisting than the internal heated jet blast.
Does anyone know whether the gel layer heated windscreen can be Porsche retrofitted as it doesn't seem to be a unique button to trigger it?

Yes, holy thread revival but this was very helpful. I spent quite a while in my new car yesterday trying to work out how on earth to turn on the heated windscreen and then being puzzled how it seemed to be working without me having pressed anything (whereas our Mini, which also has a heated windscreen has a separate button for it).
Mind you, it also required recourse to the internet to find the heated steering wheel button as well - that is not an obvious place at all, and it seems completely unmarked!
I guess this is all part of the joy of changing marque...

Welcome to the forum. You can download the Good To Know app which includes the manual if you input your VIN. Good luck finding anything. It has a Teutonic sort of logic in its arrangement!

Ah, good to know - thanks.
Coming from ten years in BMWs (and also having a Mini with the same set-up), whilst the nav/infotainment display looks good, I must say I am currently suffering severe iDrive withdrawal symptoms (specifically the lack of a separate rotary controller near the handbrake). Touchscreens are the Devil’s own work!!

Yes I'm ex BMW and still miss iDrive after 8 months. However the righthand scroll wheel is a bit useful when you learn the number of scrolls and clicks to a specific bit of info.Wolands Advocate wrote: ↑Wed Feb 08, 2023 6:26 pm Ah, good to know - thanks.

The windscreen heater is "automatically DEactivated? Surely they mean activated?
Also... what good is activating the windscreen heating "AFTER a max. of 10 minutes?
You want it to start NOW surely?
Or... is there a full stop missing after "activated" and before "after", and should "after" be "After" instead of "after?
Hope that helps?
