you need to be quick, i thought the new legislation coming in which limited cars to under 100mph this year?
has anybody got the detail?
“ New cars sold in the UK will be fitted with mandatory speed limiters from 2022, after the Department for Transport confirmed it will follow a ruling from the European Commission on safety technology, regardless of whether the UK is in the European Union.”
Which applies to new models given type approval after May 2022.

One of the reasons I bought when I did. Also "packages" becoming more common than being able to specify individual items as a result of testing regimes.

That should help used values very nicely, I'll not be parting with mine in favour of a new post May 2022 model willingly!

I think I have finally learned that no matter what car I buy, there will always be something that supersedes it within a couple of years.... sometimes not always for the better. I couldn't bear the thought of buying another BMW again with the latest dash with reverse taco... and as for the new grills...!
I too, think I will prefer the buttons on the Macan to the haptic controls. I've not driven a car with them, so not in a position to say for definite, but fingerprints left behind are a big no. I'm glad I managed to get a build slot before production ends - and will help keep residuals tidy, one of the plus points in moving to Porsche.
Had a Cayenne Coupe Hybrid on loan for 3 weeks and it had haptic controls. Much worse than the 'old fashioned' switches and another thing to go wrong

I spoke to an OPC last week and they had a GTS slot for JUNE build . I did not take it as i want a test drive first and looking for a end of year delivery.
Hello Jonny,
Can I ask which OPC this was?
We're back in the market for a Macan GTS. My wife has decided her Evoque is just too hesitant at junctions. Started to look at the plug in Range Rover Sport but too big and not enough engine sound.
Happy to wait as it looks like the nearly new versions are priced at a premium.
I spoke with Silverstone yesterday and all their slots are filled, unfortunately, though they expected more slots later this year.

Solihull
I have already passed this on to another forum member.
I called Solihull earlier today on the off chance before your message came through, and we now have a June build slot.
Config is: PM6YXN59
Many thanks.
If you are keeping the cost down? Then I have never had a night driving dazzle problem in nearly 4 years and two Macans both without 'Automatically dimming interior and exterior mirrors'
