A general question to those in the know, what is the benefit of coupling PASM on standard suspension if 19" alloys are to be adopted?
Could the £785.00 for the PASM be better spent eleewhere or does it make a major difference to the ride quality on 19" wheels (or 20" come to that!)
19 Wheels + PASM - is it a necessity! !

Agreed, PASM is not necessary on a Macan. More to go wrong!

after contemplating buying an audi rs6 prior to finding id rather the macan I researched problems associated with porsche pasm systems across all there models and even going back to early 2000 and found nothing untoward whatsoever,
So I think reliability in the systems is excellent and the different dynamics it adds should not be overlooked. .
Just my 2p's worth

You maybe right, but I have had PASM now on several 911s and find that it makes very little difference off track. Given that I personally will never take my diesel Macan on track I did not spec it. But horses for courses. If you spec 21" wheels and aim to drive your SUV like a 911, go for it

I know it's all a bit subjective and residuals may or may not be important to you but having spent quite a lot of time in the retail motor trade both glass guide and cap assume 19 s and PASM for example on the valuation of a Cayman, you take £1000 off the valuation if not fitted (each option)
Macan will not suffer standard depreciation for a good few years yet but (sadly) I still spec with a view to re-sale. Force of habit I suppose. There are certain options that people "want" even if they never use them other than to play with for the first few days of ownership.
I'm specing 19 s and PASM - for what that's worth!

You may also need Pano rooof and PCM in order not to lose money on trade in as these also seem must haves.
