I did and I got a bullshit reply (human rights. personal privacy etc.). As it happens, with my cam, after it is disconnected and re-connected it must them be switched on. If they had re-connected it and not switched it on I could have been driving without a cam until I had a bump. If that had happened, I may well have had a case for a claim against them. What for example if my insurance was dependent on me having a cam?

After the service, in the boot I found a 1 litre bottle of oil in a little black bag with Porsche stamped on it and a small bottle of screen wash additive. They’ve given me a little gift, that’s nice I thought.

I’ve just checked the invoice today and the itemized list of what I was charged for and on that list is:
Screenwash £7.60
Mobil 0W-20 1L C20 £17.48
Mobil top up bag £4.46

Those ‘little gifts’ cost me £29.54 !!!

I’ve got screenwash in the garage which I use in winter, in summer I just put a bit washing up liquid in. I’ve got a garage full of 1L bottles of oil from previous new cars; I don’t need a little black pouch holder for my 1Ltr bottles of oil. Why would they presume that I needed a black pouch to put my oil in? Is it just me that feels like they’re being shafted?

That certainly does seem underhand of your OPC, and I’d be asking for a refund of the £29.54, especially as you didn’t ask for these items to be supplied........which OPC are you using?

Washing up liquid is a bad idea. It tends to form gel which will block the tubes and nozzles. It also promotes algal growths which will do the same. Fixing it wouldn’t be covered under warranty. I know you’ll say you’ve done it for years in umpteen cars and never had a problem......

Wilmslow

I have seen previous post mentioning 1ltr oil after service so I presume it's a standard thing?

Mine came back with same after it's oil change. I paid £14.18, I think with a 5% new customer discount, for a litre to top it up previously, so the cost of the oil wasn't bad. Sheffield, thankfully, didn't put it in a bag!

So wilmslow reduced it from £705 to £650?...was that after a negotiation?

Also, did the £650 you said you paid include the £29.54 for the oil, bag and screen wash? Surely if the invoice came to £679.54 you'd ask why its not £650 as agreed?
