I have had this recall too 2018 (late) Mk 1 . System seems to be fine I never use 3d or gooogle maps but when I try them they work fine. What is the issue?

Actually I am the same, never used 3d or Google, but have just rechecked mine and I have both, so do wonder what the issue is?
Maybe ours have already been updated!

So they said at service reception it was all to do with sorting Google Maps; we’ll see when I collect later. In the meantime they gave me this to play with😎

Yes I use car play and Waze or Apple Maps.
Having the recall done because Google Earth is v useful at times, and if I didn’t get it done you can guarantee it would catch up with me one day😅

Did you have Google maps before taking it in? I do have them and seem to be working okay.

Just got back. So the only noticeable difference is that the operation of Google Maps (which my car already had) is noticeably smoother, with clearer junction signage and a better appearance to the 3D animation. I wonder whether there is much more change to the OS under the skin as it were. Will compare is versions at the weekend to see if there is any change.
