Interesting to see the values at the minute and I too got a wbac quote on both of my dailies

Macan 2 year old this week with 12k miles.

Think I paid £66k, come back at £56k so not bad indeed

911 1.5 years old with 11k miles. Paid £115k, came back at £89k.

Obviously would hope to get more privately so yes still strong residuals.

For fun I tried my 2016 66reg GTS with admittedly low miles (15k) on WBAC. It came back with £43K without asking anything about fitted options

There may be a little man maths here but It made me think, if I’d not gone and splurged 20K on extras like Burmester, Air, Carmine, etc I’d be looking at a mind blowing 78% residual after 4.5 years. Instead I’m looking at a more sober 58%.

I wonder how much higher it could go? If it creeps up I might start thinking of selling...

And do not forget WBAC makes no direct allowance for extra's

Indeed hence thinking if I needed to move on there would be others that would pay more incl proper dealers !

When doing your maths on a new car don’t forget that the tax on high CO2 £40k+ cars has gone up compared to what you would have paid on your current car.

Am confident that with that spec & mileage, you could get more than £43k elsewhere...

I think WBAC are a bit behind the curve on their pricing at the moment, I sold my 718 Boxster for £3k more than they were offering to a dealer through Wizzle a couple of weeks ago and a mate just sold his 718 Boxster GTS yesterday direct to a dealer again for £3k more than WBAC were offering. As mentioned above it's definitely a sellers market at the moment, dealers have little or no stock, new cars are in short supply and people seem intent on spending the money they've been saving over the last year on a trinket or 2.

WBAC are looking for vehicles to put into BCA auctions so will always be less than auction prices. Dealers like on Wizzle should be prepared to pay auction prices plus BCA's commission.

Just sold my Nov 2020 GTS
Ran it for 6 months
Got all my equity back
Never had a car like that
Wondering when to pull the trigger on the new updated model for later in the year
