I totally agree. If the new GTS is going to have 400+ hp I think I’ll place a deposit tomorrow, if it is not what I’m hoping for I can always cancel but as the old saying goes, if you snooze you may lose. Q1 2022 would suit me perfectly.

I imagine a GTS with the power of the existing Turbo will incur a hefty price jump, especially when you consider the current price gap is circa £10k. I know it's just a remap, but if the GTS is to become the top of the line, I can see Porsche milking it and an EV version will sit below to fill the gap. Will be interesting to see what their plan is eventually!

OPC told me that the allocations for ‘gen 3’ are expected to start in Sept. I guess that means deliveries 6-8 weeks later in Nov.

he did'nt specifically say, but the fact i could get one the very end of this year/q1 22 seems to imply that.

who is your OPC?
I spoke to a couple of OPCs in London and was told that they have no information but would be very surprised if the GTS was available this year for launch. They would expect that for next year Q3/4. They also said any deposits now for a GTS delivery in Q4 2021, would highly likely be the current gen model.

He also made it a point to tell me that the chip shortages are pushing everything back
Ok, full info, I have placed my order now for a new 22 spec GTS, with full expectation for q4 2021. I have placed it with Preston opc, pm if you want a name and want to order.
Info I have been given is the base, the S, and the GTS will be available at launch as minor refresh. increase in power to all 3, s getting old gts power, gts getting turbo power. No turbo model. expected slight increase in price. guessed at £1500
I specifically asked if the GTS would be available at launch, as lst time it wasnt. I was told Yes, and I have paid a deposit.
there are 4 people ordered in front of me also for the my22 model.
I spoke to Wilmslow also to see how long the wait there would be, they said spring 22, they also confirmed there is a refresh.

Leicester who I bought from last time claimed ignorance FYI
Thanks, i've sent you a PM for more information. This is the only OPC thats given any real info. so far, so be very keen to talk with them.

My sense is that any deliveries will probably be delayed due to current chip shortages

Nelladrahcir wrote: Tue May 18, 2021 1:13 pm I'm sort of in the same boat. I had a call last week offering me a July or September build slot but OPC couldn't confirm whether either would be a mk2 or 3.
Problem I have now is I wanted Mama green which is now deleted and the 8 way seats aren't comfortable for me let alone my 6'2 sons!
I have a friend in Dubai Andre enquired and you can still order green and met blue and have all the seat options over there so not sure what happening here???
Guess I'll have to wait?
Some good posts on here folks thanks for all the info.
I was given some information by an OPC today which might help you. He said that your local OPC will upgrade seats from 8 way to 14 way for anyone impacted (how they do this and at what cost i dont know). Worth checking out though

GTS with turbo power sounds awesome. Price is bound to be up but then it should be that some desirable options become standard, air susp? Chrono?
I would be surprised if the price only going up by £1500 for Gen3 GTS with Turbo if any options not currently standard are added to standard GTS spec. I suspect following Porsche UK practice Air at least would be extra and probably SC

if the April/May build GTS's are being delayed till Aug it's very difficult to see how any new generation GTS is going to come this year.
Not a chance I'm cancelling my order for an engine tweak.

The sd1985. I think I'll wait and see what the new one offers. My OPC are happy for me to take either and I'm not in a rush.
I'm looking forward to finding what the Gen3 will have over the Gen2.

New bumpers, interior, power are definites i'd say, was told maybe new colours and wheels, heard mention that they thought the gts spider 20s would be changed for 21s of some description.
