Hi guys

My GTS (2017) just got delivered to me a few days ago and upon inspection the roof rails seems to have some horrible blue acid looking marks on them? Has anyone else got this or experienced this? Any way of fixing it? Porsche have said it’s a common issue but it’s a painful eye sore on what is a perfect car otherwise.

Thanks.

Mine are not as bad, but not great either. I use a black wax to black them in. Certainly don't use anything abrasive as it'll damage the rails further

If Porsche have just delivered the car, and say it’s a common problem, then when they recollect it they will know how to put it right!

Definitely will be getting them to put it right as at no point was I advised of the state of them. Spoken to my detailer who thinks he can get them removed and sealed so considering getting Porsche to contribute towards it instead.

Mine were very similar. Could never seem to get them back to black and the OPC just claimed it wasn’t an issue they could fix.

That looks like a tricky one to address.

Weird. Mine are fine. Looks like a 'cleaning product' issue.

Yeah seems to come from the TFR in screen washes. Detailer said he sees it commonly on window trims etc.
