Cheers Dave

Esure gets mentioned a lot in this forum so I’ll give them a go.

My first Porsche potentially so don’t want the insurance to put me off lol.

I was previously insured with LV but a couple of years ago the price went up so I shopped around and being an old codger got a much cheaper quote from Saga which I took. It turned out the actual insurer behind it was LV!

Just wanted to share some knowledge about Esure, in case you're unfortunate to have an accident.... if you go to one of 'their' network repairers, you'll pay a lower excess. If you want to use your own repairer, you'll pay a higher excess. Just check the small print, devil is hidden in the detail. They want as much volume through their repairers because they have agreed extremely low rates. And as we all know, you pay peanuts.....! They might be cheap to insure with, but you only find out the value once you need to use their services. I have never insured with Esure, but working in the insurance / repair management industry, personally I would not touch them. And they much prefer to write cheques than issue bank payments - yes, cheques in 2021!

Bain Capital

Esure Group plc (stylised as esure) is an Internet and telephone based insurance company based in Reigate, Surrey, England. It also has offices in Manchester and Glasgow. The company was listed on the London Stock Exchange until it was acquired by Bain Capital in December 2018.

This group also includes Admiral. They also own elephant.co.uk, Bell Direct and Diamond, the womens car insurance specialist, and Gladiator for commercial vehicle insurance. GoCompare are “independent” but since early 2015 has been part of the esure group.

Great meets those.

Your extended test drive in the loaner still brings a smile to my face.
