When I went to order my Turbo in May, I was told the EV version will arrive in 2023 and that 'an ICE version' will sell alongside it ... not sure how true that is ...

Having just read the Autocar article it seems that the Turbo will be renamed GTS, probably with digital instruments and a shiny black plastic console. Some new wheel designs and from the pictures it looks like the 911 turbo wheels now come in black. Torque vectoring now comes as an option in a GTS Sport Pack. Also a new ECU will be fitted and the springs will be firmed up from the outgoing GTS which makes a firmer ride in sport mode which can be quite demanding on poor road surfaces as the difference in driving modes from Normal to Sport Plus is now more marked. The devil will be in the detail as usual and it will be interesting to compare the configurator when it arrives to see the difference between the old and new and see what is standard equipment between the new GTS and the existing Turbo and compare price differences.

When the new Macan line up arrives, I wonder if the new Macan S will have an impact on the values of used GTS's with the same engine.

I suspect that the GTS model will retain its excellent residuals ;)

I do not think the engine changes will impact the used values of existing models. What will impact the used values of one to three-year-old cars ( both S and GTS) is the supply situation of new and the length of time from order to delivery. As with 2014 to 2016 and summer 2018, at present, the typical period is more than 6 months. In late 2019 and early 2020, it was down to 2 to 3 months and the price of 2017 used GTS's I was considering in autumn 2018 cf new S order then had fallen by £10 to £15K. If by, say, early 2023 the period is down to that again then used values will be impacted.

I suspect one vehicle for which the new "facelift" and engine changes could have the most impact on used value is the Turbo but that will depend on how big the increase in GTS cost is
