Just picked up my new GTS and done about 150 miles in it now, a bit concerned at the oil pressure.
When engine is hot, oil and water temp above 90 deg C, I noticed that at steady speed limit speed of 30, 40, 60mph that the oil pressure is a fairly steady 22psi, but when coasting down in speed for a junction it drops to around 15 or even 12psi. Also when accelerating briskly but keeping the revs below about 4000rpm the pressure can rise well above 45psi and even into the low 60’s. Is this normal for the new 2.9 litre GTS engine?

22psi sounds right, don’t know about the rest will check as usually when approaching a junction or exceeding 4000rpm I’m watching other things 😳😂😂😂

Thanks for the link Steve, I did do a search on oil pressure but that thread did not appear.
Looks like mine is behaving as expected then.

If you look at page 2 on the link below, you'll see I raised the same issue back in August last year. Feel free to look at the pic on page 1 :D :D

You'll find that the oil pressure starts to rise as soon as you press heavily on the loud pedal rather than at any particular revs. Probably need to wait and get a few miles under your belt before you try the large throttle openings.
