I put my deposit down in June, dealer thinks spec lock in should be December To be honest I knew GT products were an issue to get a build slot for but I hadn't heard that the GTS models were before.cc3 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 19, 2021 7:20 pmEven when there was no chip issue getting a nominated build slot for a GTS and GT car could be a challenge unless you had a great buying record with the dealer. Yes they will all take a deposit but when you get your car if at all is part of the joy of the buying process ! Many have been in the GT queue with a deposit but failed to get an allocation! Now you overlay the chip shortage and the GTS models start to get quite rare like the GT products. If you think about it they of course make their money on the sale but in this tight market some dealers might give priority if they get a Porsche product in part exchange so they make double bubble!! They are just so short of quality second hand stock as well as new cars. Take nothing for granted.jonnydrama wrote: ↑Wed Jun 30, 2021 1:09 pm Hi,
Has anyone found a dealer yet that has given an indication of when they'll start seeing Gen 3's come through? I fancy ordering a GTS but I'm getting different stories from different dealerships. One couldn't tell me how many deposits etc they'd taken or when the person at the front of the queue would get theirs. They also said I'd take priority as a local over someone who already has an order in not from the area which doesn't sound right.
New model delivery dates?

You've done well. Put mine down in early July at Porsche East London. Their 2021 allocation is eaten up and they won't know about 2022 numbers for a while. I'm not confident I will get a slot much before back end of Q2/22sd1985 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 20, 2021 7:24 pmAround may, maybe even late April

Yep allocations will be very tough next year I’m informed. Less cars and more demand - will just push used prices up. So it might work in your favour if your part exchanging/sellingPorscheMack wrote: ↑Mon Sep 20, 2021 7:33 pmYou've done well. Put mine down in early July at Porsche East London. I'll be selling so will probably WBAC it to check prices but it's difficult to know how the used car market will be next year. If push comes to shove and the used market is still buoyant in January will get rid of current car and hire a runabout for a while.sd1985 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 20, 2021 7:56 pmYep allocations will be very tough next year I’m informed.
