Real MPG
I've had a 2019 Macan S (petrol) for more than two years now, and just passed the 25,000 mile mark. While I agree with others' mpg figures for normal driving, it is possible to achieve over 40mpg as I have done: once you get onto a motorway, just cruise at 50mph without accelerating or braking (except when you really need to). Boring maybe ......... but it IS possible !

On a journey of 50+ miles, typically with much of it on busy motorways mine normally delivers 30-32 mpg according to the trip computer, sometimes better still when I'm on the section with the road works and a 50mph limit. Short runs from cold will really hammer the figures.

Cruising at 50mile/h on a motorway shouldn't be boring. You can play "spot the Eddie Stobart lorries" amongst all the trucks overtaking you. Alternatively you can look in your mirror and see just how big a mobile traffic jam you can create in the outer two lanes.RAA wrote: ↑Sat Jul 10, 2021 8:44 am I've had a 2019 Macan S (petrol) for more than two years now, and just passed the 25,000 mile mark. If you are worried about MPG do not buy a Porsche.
Porsche ownership costs, and costs more than you may be planning for.
The MPG shown on the MFD display is best taken with a pinch of salt.
My experience is that my SD actual was 33 whereas the MFD showed over 36.
The Turbo now shows about 24 on the MFD in actual terms about 21-22 is realistic. After a 300 plus round trip to Scotland my MFD showed 27 so about 25 but that was not hanging around.
Best MPG I have achieved with a Macan Turbo was 8 MPG shown on the MFD, not my own Turbo but the one I thrashed around Silverstone PEC. Hence MPG is directly related to just how heavy your right foot is.
So as a guide the everyday actual MPG that can be expected:-
2.0 - 25
S - 25
GTS 24
Turbo 22
SD 33

I think the Colonel is correct re middle of range experience forpre2019 vehicles but for post 2019 petrol v6's there appears to be little difference between S, GTS and Turbo with the difference being more down to how heavy right foot, how much higher rev range used and shortness of journey, with all broadly in range 25 to 30 depending on the mix of those factors. The post 2019 2 .0 litres equivalent range being 27 to 33Col Lamb wrote: ↑Sun Jul 11, 2021 7:57 am If you are worried about MPG do not buy a Porsche.
