Just got a new GTS with air suspension. When I go to get in it in the morning after unlocking and as I open the drivers door, the wing mirrors fold open, and at the same time there is a whirring noise from somewhere near the rear of the car. Could it be the compressor for the air suspension and if so should it be sagging overnight? I tend to have the car on the low setting for the air suspension. The whirring noise lasts about a couple of seconds, haven’t noticed it during the day when getting in and out at shops etc when it’s only been parked for a short while. Didn’t happen on previous S with standard suspension.

Sounds normal, and yes it's likely the suspension levelling up. Mine does it quite often, both locking and unlocking. Maybe it has something to do with the slope of the parking position or any slope the car goes over before parking. In my case I reverse down a slight slope onto the level garage floor.

Yeah, it's the air suspension, ours does it.

You should also find in the boot a button to lower the rear to aid loading and unloading

Although you need the doors shut for it to work.

Ok, thanks all, nothing to worry about then. Car has just been detailed and coated, really looks great now.
